Cogs and Threads is a non-surgical skin lifting treatment that uses dissolvable threads made from materials like PDO (Polydioxanone), which are safely absorbed by the body over time. These threads are carefully inserted under the skin using a fine needle or cannula to lift and tighten sagging areas, while also stimulating collagen production—the protein responsible for keeping skin firm and youthful.

The "cogs" refer to special barbed threads that anchor into the tissue, allowing us to lift the skin upwards and hold it in place physically. This provides an instant tightening effect, while the longer-term benefits come as your skin naturally boosts its collagen levels around the threads, improving elasticity and texture even after the threads dissolve.

The treatment typically takes around 45–60 minutes, and we begin with a full consultation to assess your needs and goals. A local anaesthetic is used to ensure you're comfortable throughout the procedure.

You may notice an immediate lift, with results continuing to improve over the next few weeks as collagen builds up. There’s minimal downtime, though some bruising or swelling can occur and usually settles within a few days.
